This tour covers the vast area of Curacao's west and eastern points. This is as complete of a full island aerial tour you will get which ensures you don't miss anything
This tour contains a 50 - 60min flight that covers the western part of Curacao. We continue to the more mountainous and lush side of the island, which gives an extra dimension to the flight. Here we can crawl and creep through ravines or hover like a falcon over the highest top on the island: the St. Christopher Peak in the National Park with the same name.
Westpoint village is known for its fishing industry. Here the religious fishermen have been challenging the high seas for centuries with small wooden boats to bring in the food for their families. Then we return via the south coast back to base. The beach-dotted south shore is a stark contrast with the forbidding North Coast. Here, on the last stretch to home we pass many a secluded sandy cove hugging the clear turquoise ribbon of shallow water, where Robinson Crusoe would have felt quite at home.
After some turns over Willemstad we continue to fly (30min) east along the south coast to cover the eastern part of Curacao. Pass Devil's Cliff, the doom of many ships, where at night the vessel's ghost captains can still be heard whimpering to mourn and pray for their lost ship and crew; Soar over Eastpoint Bay, where Eagle Rays are sometimes visible ''flying'' with their broad wings over the white sandy bottom; Big turtles are seen in their natural habitat looking for a place to bury their eggs.
Circle over the cliffs of Canon Point. Currents here are so treacherous that many a swimmer lost the contest; Fly by the rough untamed North Coast. The huge waves, built up by the trade winds all the way from the eastern Caribbean Sea, throw themselves with disdain on the rocky shore, spraying the coast with a constant layer of salt making it uninhabitable and almost convince you that you fly over Mars. This is also home to many wild donkeys and roaming sharks. If we're lucky we'll spot this ruthless ocean predator in Playa Canoa, the only bay on the island where surfers like to catch a wave and play tag with the sharks.
Back to our base in Otrobanda you’ve seen the best of our Dushi Curacao !
